International Weblogger's Day was a pivotal project that emphasized practicality and efficiency over design, catering to a crowd of over 1000 annually on June 14th. With such a mass, it was necessary to implement a solid infrastructure upon which the design could be easily modified and expanded upon. It began in April of 2004, when the initial concept was realized, and the tasks involved developing a forum, a wiki, a logo, branding for an online store, graphics in the form of buttons, and an effort to promote internationalization of the entire site.
International Weblogger's Day is a highly successful venture that promises much more to come in the future, as more and more people are informed about its magnitude and importance.
